Building a PCB with no schematic

For a college project I want to make a PCB with no schematic. The schematic is just to determine the size of the holes for the pins to go into. Is this possible without all the “pedantic” stuff for everything (like using standard tracks and the like)?

If I am reading your question correctly, you are OK if you want to only draw traces that you need to etch.
To be honest, even that will require a fair amount of “pedantic” stuff. PCB designs require an RFID, as well as the capability to make final cuts for routing, do final adjustments to the board layout, etc.
So if you can make the “bare bones” of your PCB, I would go that route to avoid a lot of pain later.
