ClearDB in-memory databases are optimized for a single client. To scale your application’s performance, you need to install ClearDB on multiple servers. For more information, see Install and Configure ClearDB on multiple servers.

To fix this problem, login to the server admin login page and click on Add Users. Add a MySQL user account and then when you are done, click on the Show Change button. This will show you the latest changes that were made to the database. Once you have the latest changes the server admin account is deleted, and you can then add a new server admin account.Next time you login to the database, you can reuse the new server admin account.

Once your MySQL database account is setup, you should be able to connect to your database. This is in theory if you can login to the database. Next, you need to make sure that you have correct permissions. If you don’t, your application can’t do what it was intended to. You need to understand the MySQL permissions available.

The concept of the Server Permissions page is to provide permissions for the user accounts created during the database account creation process. The number of connections a user has can be unlimited but at a certain point MySQL starts to throw an error and stops the process because it cannot find a connection.

We are replicating the ClearDB database instance to Azure DB for MySQL. In this scenario, we will use a basic edition which includes all the common features you will need for the database administration and management of the instance. To perform a basic edition account migration, all you need to provide is the name of the source database instance to be migrated. If you wish to perform this edition migration manually, you can use the Import and Export data for a basic edition.
This should not be an alarming message since it’s already been discussed that you should migrate to the Azure DB for MySQL edition. We have an article on how to perform this edition migration.
Verify that you are using the correct edition. If you are using the Basic edition you need to provision an instance in the same region as your ClearDB database instance. The Basic edition only allows you to replicate your databases from local servers to regional Microsoft Azure datacenters.
Note: In our case, our Azure DB for MySQL database was created using the default settings when we generated it. The only modification we did was to change the endpoint name. The endpoint name is the Azure identifier for the Azure DB for MySQL database, which we can find in the Azure portal using our database. As this link displays, the name is AzureDB_for_MySQL_database. Using this name, we update our appsettings.json file to point to the new endpoint for this database.
In our new Azure DB for MySQL database, we use a connection string with the AzureDB_for_MySQL_database identifier instead of using the old constants. This results in a new connection string like this:
