Retrieving specific properties from model with MVC?

I have a Customer class that has 3 properties (Id, Name, and Address) and a Class called CustomerViewModel. I have those two classes:
public class CustomerViewModel
{
public Customer Customer { get; set; }

public Address Address { get; set; }
}

public class Customer
{
public int Id { get; set; }
public string Name { get; set; }
public Address Address { get; set; }
}

I have a method in my controller (in MVC) called Get() that takes in the Id of the Customer. What is the best way to get the Name and Address from the Customer class? Would I even need to retrieve an instance of the Customer class?
public ActionResult Get(int id)
{
//get an instance of customer class
Customer CustomerInstance = GetCustomer(id);

//get properties based on name or id from customer class
CustomerViewModel CustomerViewModel = new CustomerViewModel();

//does customer instance have the properties?
if(CustomerInstance.HasProperty(“Id”))
{
//get customer instance properties using ID
}
}

Edit: The GetCustomer(int id) method in the controller is there because I have a “new” technique that doesn’t allow me to use the Activator.CreateInstance().

A:

If you don’t have a particular name for your Customer class, you should just use the Customer Class.
If you do have such a name, the GetCustomer method would look something like:
public Customer GetCustomer(int id)
{
return (from c in Customers where c.Id == id select c).Single();
}

If you have an Address entity class, you should also use
