Some of the issues that I had with older Lightroom versions, such as the fact that the program would fail and crash if I tried to export an image to a target folder that was earlier than the date on which the original was created, have since been resolved. Overall, though, things generally operate more smoothly now. I finally feel comfortable exporting files at potentially greater sizes without fear of either the program crashing or continually uploading files to the cloud. Preferably, it should not even make sense for me to have to export and open images in Photoshop if the program has found a way to naturally handle them already. Lightroom has also started to use less memory, which is a great move for the increasingly more memory-starved digital photo community. Got it, Adobe. Now, please, stop telling me about Lightroom’s ability to import my photos into digital files via your cloud services. Or, at the very least, stop sending me carded disks of images configured to do exactly that.
