A HUGE amount of cars had the battery light come on! It was messing up my sync… The battery-pack had a nasty look to it. It was completely dead! I tried my best to revive it. The key was to allow it to heat up fully and then just run it continuously at the same rate, but still allowing it to heat up. I kept an eye on the temp gauge as I switched it on and off. After about 5 minutes of this and the constant on temp at 9 degrees I shutdown the heater and pulled 1/3 of a class C battery from a car that was fresh out of the box…. So, now I’m a bit worried about the health of the spare if this happens while I’m driving…. As far as I know, I bought the battery from MITS. Suggest anyone searching for the battery-codes for this car in the forums… Get a battery!!!! The info is on the last post of this thread…
To make the service codes for the battery, open the cap over the negative terminal. You should see hex numbers, which if you know what they are, you can use them here for information (or there is a thread in this section). The first number is the HV relay (high voltage) and the second is the alternator (or battery) relay. The third is the internal temperature. The fourth is the float charge. The fifth is the 12v gas gauge. The sixth is the gas gauge when both the two external gauges are reading same…
Battery was removed. Battery was placed upright on table with car lights on. It took him about 20 minutes of setting the phone on the charger, then toggling the car lights/radio and the phone itself. Then the battery was slowly and continuously cycled until room temp, then left on at temp. After about 20 minutes we had connected to a port USB cable to the battery and were ready to rock!….
