Reviewer 2: My New York Yankees(TM) version has the normal pop-up when you first start to use it, but for some reason my Notepad version does not, so I had to uninstall that and install the new version. After I finished it reported that it was just installed and everything was okay. Then when I rebooted it did not start. I checked it in Add/Remove programs and everything looks great. I thought it was probably a virus, so I scanned it with Spybot Search & Destroy. There was nothing there, however when I tried to open the main Uninstaller window it came up with the error that I was missing an uninstaller. Dang! I wonder if the main uninstaller would start if I have the rogue file.

I was pleased to see, in addition to the uninstall option, that there is also a set of full backups of your system. To perform a full backup, click the Setup\About option, and then click the Backup option, then Back Up Now, and then press the Save button. From the Backup button you can then select the desired amount of backup to make. The backup files are all in place, as is the restore button. This “Backup” function is very important to have and was missing in the few earlier versions.

I believe the main advantage of this uninstaller over others is that you can set it to automatically find and remove programs that are temporarily broken or unreliable on your computer. Furthermore, I find the scanner offered by this program to be very powerful. Everything it finds is at least worth a look, and I really liked the file search and uninstantiate capabilities.

The other nice thing is that it does uninstall Guard and remove all of its leftovers without data loss. You can easily return the computer back to the factory state. But sadly, to do this, you need to have a Windows XP system. But at least it doesn’t slow down your PC. Even an experienced computer technician couldn’t understand it. I am clearly not an expert… nor is my dad, who only had three words for this program. He said, ‘it was dangerous’ and at that he shut down and unplugged the computer.
