the attacker has several options to perform the authentication bypass. the easiest and most obvious option is to simply perform an rdp session to the netop vision server and issue a command to execute the remote run command.
this was also the option we initially used to exploit the vulnerability and was the easiest to execute as it had all the required details. the attacker would have to have a valid netop vision pro account, in addition to having access to the victim machine.
to perform the authentication bypass we first need to have a valid netop vision pro account. from the account that is used we would need to create a new session to the netop vision server and issue a command to execute the remote run command. once the victim is logged in and the exploit is executed, the attacker would then have full control of the machine and can launch any command on the system. the process would then be automatically terminated once all the command is done executing.
