this is a fun movie that shows the potential of steven soderbergh’s side career as an action director. while the movie isn’t a literal action film, it has plenty of action sequences and it’s entertaining. while the story is somewhat formulaic and the characters are a little two-dimensional, they still have their own personalities and the film itself is very enjoyable. the movie doesn’t make a whole lot of sense at times, but that’s part of what makes it so great. you don’t have to understand all of the characters’ motives and you don’t have to follow every plot twist, because it doesn’t matter. soderbergh is just as fun to watch as anything he’s done in the past, and this is a good movie to catch him in.
one of the coolest things about reading about movies is that i often get to see some of the behind-the-scenes stuff that people don’t normally get to see. i’ve heard a lot of stories about how the movies are made, but i’ve never really seen anything that made me want to watch them. that’s why i’m so excited about this new tv series that’s coming out, called the making of crazy rich asians. the first episode is coming out this friday, and it’s going to show the production of one of the most popular movies of all time.
this movie’s a feel good story with a very heartwarming ending. the characters were so relatable and i loved the whole premise. and the story was a nice balance of drama and comedy with some romance thrown in.
this movie is a great story about a mother who has a fear of rejection after years of being neglected by her family. the scenes where she is seen with her mother and her mother in law’s was a tear jerker. the story is a simple one but has a simple idea to it. it’s a feel good movie. however, the movie does tend to drag at times. the one thing that did detract from my overall experience with this movie was the fact that they portrayed the people of india in a very stereotypical manner. there were times when i was wondering if they had just used india as a location to tell the story rather than having a direct effect on the story.
