The most problematic controllers have a problem where they dont work for English menus but they do work in French. This is because all the menus are stored in.json files and if your controller strings happen to have a.fr string at the end, then it will work in French but not English. In 0.9.5 the solution is to just change the strings to the same generic English strings. This is true for all Menus, not just buttons. This is unlikely to break anything for most people, just change the strings in Menu.cpp to something like this:

Note the change is adding a group of strings where there had been none before. You should also change the strings in the pref-game.in file (to something like this:
