Grant A. Hines (born January 31, 1943) is an American microbiologist and geneticist. She is a professor of genetics at the University of California, San Francisco. Hines received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Wellesley College in 1964, and her PhD in genetics and microbiology from Stanford University in 1969.

Hines was a member of the National Academy of Sciences from 1999 to 2004, the chair of the board of trustees of The Hastings Center, the director of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG), and the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
