If youre looking for a solid arcade racing experience but don’t want to spend a ton of money, it might be worth a shot. Its not a bad game by any means, just one with a limited audience and is a full priced game. However, what I noticed first is how enjoyable the race is, while the modes slowly bring out the best of what the game has to offer. I also noticed just how much of a pain in the ass the unlock system is. Why they didnt just put all the unlocks in the story mode and have it count towards achievement points I cant say. If you’re a Monster Energy fan looking for a solid arcade racing experience and are willing to put in a little work, itll do the trick.
One of the best things about Monster Energy Supercross The Official Videogame 2 4 is the lack of damage, or as theres a lot of talk in the Racer’s corner about it, the lack of consequences. What I mean by that is, you know how it is in most racing games, with the occasional car accident. In this game, youre going 95-100mph, doing flip after flip, running off the track, flying in the air, going into trees. If you survive, youll have some bruises, a few dings, and, maybe, a tear. Youll be back on the track and go around doing a flip or two and then finish the race. When all the tricks go off and you get that checkered flag, well, thats when the real fun starts. Its a great racing experience, even if its not the most realistic racing game out there. If youre looking for realistic racing, this game isnt it, but if youre looking for speed and action, then this game is for you.
