    World of Wonder (1985 – February 16, 1992) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In 1988 he won the Preakness Stakes and the Travers Stakes a second time.     Idle Earth was designed for a battle for survival in the unoccupied future of Earth.
    It contains several features most typically found in console games which allows for enjoyable and satisfying gaming.
    First of all, Idle Earth is a 4-player co-op game.
    Along with the usual deathmatch and team games, there is a rather original mode, the survival match.
    Survival matches do not have the typical ‘4 vs 4’ rules of a deathmatch,
    instead it means that all players are able to play together, but all are able to lose as well.
    The match begins with a 100 second timer, so the survival aspect is constantly present throughout the match.
    Gems are awarded to players who are the last survivors at the end of the match.
    There are several Achievements that can be earned as well.

    Player takes control of an expedition ship that travels the known galaxy in a bid to capture Venus, named in honor of a woman of great accomplishment. Her name was Juliet Ternas. She was a courageous woman of invention and had won many victories against her enemies. Venus her planet is rich in resources, colonized and technologically advanced. The main obstacle to reaching Venus is the density of asteroids between the planet and the player’s ship. The player’s ship is capable of blasting away the asteroids to create a path for the player to reach the planet.
    -Stella is an observatory equipped with a powerful telescope. It allows the player to spy on alien planets, unobstructed by the dense asteroid belt.

    In Idle Earth, the player is charged with colonizing Venus. You can build a foundation on the planet’s surface, for digging and mining on the planet’s surface, must be dug in order to acquire resources. Throughout the colonization process, asteroids need to be blasted out in order to create space for Venus, and finally, in order to gain control over the entire surface of the planet.
    – Venus has five different elements with each element having unique properties. The air element makes drilling, mining and any construction operations easier. By having a lighter gravity, the air element makes the player’s ship easier to maneuver. The water element has the same effect as the air element but with a slightly lower inventory capacity. The other three elements have a negative effect on the player.
    – The gold element increases the speed of construction and mining, but decreases the inventory size.
    – The shield element increases inventory size, construction speed and mining speed, but decreases the construction time.
    – The following upgrades are available for Venus:
    – Stationary Drill – Stationary mine is a very useful upgrade to mine the valuable gems and gold.
    – Hammer – Increases the rate of construction and mining speed.
    – Shipyard – Increases build speed, inventory space and is a requirement for the Stationary Mine upgrades.

Most of the new features require a space time connection to the internet to make use of, so if that isn’t your cup of tea, let’s take a look at what Idle Earth has to offer.

    A little side-note before the story, Idle Earth contains a 1-2 hour long tutorial that follows the story of a pop-culture themed VR journey (see the trailer above) where you learn the controls of the idle earth and how to use its base components. This tutorial can be skipped if you know where to jump to from an initial level. The story continues in after the tutorial is complete… if you are interested.

    Players take control of Rick who is an out-of-work and somewhat alcoholic high school science teacher, who can only keep his job by throwing together hastily partitioned science experiments at the last second and having his students take turns with the little he’s ready in a VR headset. Despite his failures as a teacher, he is a successful, albeit eccentric, entertainer who has devoted years and millions of dollars to his projects.

    Thrown into a car accident in the distant future, Rick and his partner are transported into a land full of open-world puzzling, forgotten logic, and an 80s aesthetic. Abandoned buildings litter the landscape, office equipment is strewn about like they left in a hurry, and lazy machines go about their lazy business. The only prompt is a short pop-up that gives you your back story and brief instructions on what to do. So head to Idle Earth.
