How does the installation work?

AutoCAD is installed in one of two ways. The recommended way is to download the Autodesk Installer application from the official Autodesk website. This will install the Autodesk trial version of AutoCAD.

The other method is to use the Autodesk disk version.

Once the Autodesk Installer or disk version of AutoCAD is installed, you will be presented with the Installation Wizard.

NOTE: Starting AutoCAD 2019, the Autodesk Installer is no longer required. You can simply download and install the Autodesk 2019 edition of AutoCAD from the Autodesk website. The installation instructions are the same as for the older version.

If you select the Autodesk Disk Version option during the installation process, the installation wizard will guide you through the installation process. When installing AutoCAD on a computer that already has AutoCAD on it, you will be presented with a message that reads:

“You have a license for AutoCAD already installed on your computer. Do you want to install AutoCAD on your computer for the first time?”

To install AutoCAD for the first time, select Yes.

The installation process can take a few minutes to complete.

Important: Once you install AutoCAD on your computer, you need to log in to an Autodesk account to activate it. If you don’t have an Autodesk account, you will have to create one before you install AutoCAD. Once you activate AutoCAD, you can then activate other applications such as AutoCAD LT.

License and pricing
AutoCAD can be purchased as either a perpetual license or a subscription version. The perpetual license version can only be installed on one computer at a time. The subscription version is free for a one-time fee for installation on up to three computers. The initial subscription version also requires installation of a server for the version to be upgraded.

The Windows version is available for $1,999 (as of August 2017). A student version, AutoCAD LT, is available for free. A version for Mac OS X is also available for $1,999 (as of August 2017). The version is available to purchase as either a perpetual license or a subscription version, and can be installed on multiple computers with different serial numbers and is also available on a separate server. The perpetual license version is available for $1,499. The subscription version is free for a one-time fee and includes upgrades for one year for 3 computers at a time.

AutoCAD LT is not currently available for iOS or Android. A mobile version is currently in development.

We identified all screening mammograms from 2008 to 2012 in the state of New York that were recalled by either screening mammography or tomosynthesis. Of the 1,829,959 screening mammograms, 416,435 (22.8%) were recalled. Of the 1,436,465 tomosynthesis examinations, 10,562 (0.7%) were recalled. We identified 114,823 (6.3%) women who had been recalled for both screening mammography and tomosynthesis. The demographic and screening characteristics of these 114,823 women were compared with those of the approximately one million women screened in New York during the study period. A minority (6.3%) of the recalled women had been recalled for both screening mammography and tomosynthesis.
