You can make custom brushes in many categories. Brushing and drawing tools mimic the tools that you’d use to create traditional art, but with digital tools. Some are simple, such as a paintbrush. Others are more detailed, such as a construction tool (Figure 2.3). TIP You can also create custom brushes as pattern brushes. A pattern brush includes a set of patterns of the same image in which an area of the image is magnified. In other words, they will always be saved in the pattern view, and the pattern cannot be converted to a regular brush. You will need to retain the patterns manually and save them in a folder. You may want to create several custom brushes at the same time and save them as part of a preset (folder of brushes) or a collection. You can then access the brushes later.
