SEATTLE – Early this morning, the U.S. Attorney’s Office released the following news release:

“A small group of men, including a felon, used the internet to sell or trade stolen items for money.

“This group, operating under the direction of an individual known as ‘D-Rock,’ sold or traded stolen items for money, including one gun and one round of ammunition. The guns sold were stolen from residences in the South Puget Sound area in March and April of 2013, and are believed to have been acquired through theft, burglary, and/or burglary-related crimes. The stolen property was tracked to the homes of four addresses in West Seattle, one of which was the residence of the defendant.

“Investigators with the King County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Canine Unit of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service executed a search warrant on the home of ‘dcwannabe.’ With his consent, police seized computers, records and other items that revealed ‘dcwannabe’ had sold multiple stolen items in the past.

“The defendant was arrested on November 20, 2013, at his home and lodged in the King County Jail. During the investigation, Detective Kevin Kilpatrick of the Canine Unit of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service identified that the defendant had sold at least two firearms to an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force officer. Based on a review of the defendant’s internet history and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force’s records of the defendant’s prior convictions and convictions for similar offenses, Detective Kilpatrick determined that the defendant had sold at least 38 stolen items for cash over a two-year period.

You can’t separate the two, especially in the north. The bulk of the population moved out of the south because they didn’t want to abide Jim Crow laws. And the northern blacks wanted to live in a more secular society. They didn’t want to be around the church people any more.
